Yet again I am sending out minutes at the last minute. Primarily I wanted to remind you guys that we have an APO meeting tomorrow night at the Eva Perry library, Wed. July 10th at 7:30. I understand we had two great social events, a party to celebrate Will and Cindy's departure and a viewing of Men in Black. We are sorry we missed both events. In terms of business at the meeting, Shelley suggests that we attend a chili cookoff and festivities at her church (I believe the Blockmore church in Durham) on July 27th, 3pm through the evening. The goal is to support the church's Haiti mission which Shelley is very active in. She also requests that we donate travel size soaps, shampoos, eyeglasses, and little bottles for pills to be sent to the Haiti mission. We also spoke about encouraging membership. I believe Joe is still trying to advertise in the New and Observer. We need to contact people we know and perhaps consider a differnt meeting location that would be child friendly. We spoke about a library project and perhaps working at the food bank, but I have still not done anything about that. I will get cracking so I will have info by the meeting. I have given blood, and suggest you all do the same if you can. There is a big shortage. We talked about going to a Durham bulls game this summer -- Let's bring the schedule tomorrow night and set a date. I'd love to go to a game. The Carolina Courage games are lot of fun too - maybe we can go as a group. Joe will take over as webmaster. He will need a little training from Will. Also, could you add Nicolle Pollaci and myself (heatherbeiras@yahoo.com) to the list Will? Nicolle just had a child, by the way, and is doing well. She hasn't received messages for a while. I will see you all tomorrow. Take care. Heather Beiras
