An email list (or exploder or reflector) is a mechanism to send a message to a lot of people via email. Any time you send a message to the list, it will be forwarded to everyone subscribed to the list.
There are several email lists Brothers in Section 80 may be interested in:
Other Sections in Region III also have email lists:
Some lists are intended for staff use and are not open to students:
To subscribe to SECTION80, simply send a blank email to section80-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
To join one of the other lists, you send a similar message:
| List Name | List Address | Body Message |
| region3 | aporegion3-subscribe@yahoogroups.com | a blank email message |
| APO-L | LISTSERV@IUPUI.EDU | SUBSCRIBE APO-L <your name> |
| APOSOC-L | LISTSERV@LISTS.PSU.EDU | SUBSCRIBE APOSOC-L <your name> |
| TAAA | TAAA-REQUEST@SERVICEUSA.ORG | SUBSCRIBE <your address> |
| Apo79 | apo79-subscribe@yahoogroups.com | a blank email message |
| SEC81-L | LISTSERV@LISTSERV.VT.EDU | SUBSCRIBE SEC81-L <your name>, <affil> |
| APO83-L | APO83-L-subscribe@yahoogroups.com | a blank email message |
| section84 | section84-subscribe@yahoogroups.com | a blank email message |
Once you have joined a list you may send a message just like you would send one to someone else: just address the message to the list's address. For instance, to send a message to SECTION80, address it to SECTION80@SERVICEUSA.ORG.
There are also several Alpha Phi Omega web pages on the net. Some useful ones for Brothers in Section 80 include:

IRC is a wonderful way to interact with APO members throughout the world. It is probably the oldest existing Internet chat forum. IRC can be run over almost any type of Internet connection and programs are available for almost ANY computer.
The APO IRC channel is: #aposoc on EFNet

In addition to email lists and web pages, there are numerous other resources on the web.
Region III has two sites that may be of particular interest: a service project database for sharing service project ideas as well as a listing of workshops and people that have given them before. They are both found on the Region III web page. Be sure and check them out!
The national webpage has many national documents on line. These include the pledge manual, the national by-laws, the national membership policies, the national pledging standards, and the national risk management policy. Also look for information on even more email lists, web pages, and other information.
