Section Council Meeting, 6 April 2003
The Section 80 Council met on Sunday, 6 April 2003. The following Chapters were represented: Rho, Iota Lambda,
Kappa Upsilon, Lambda Nu, and Nu Kappa. Among the business they discussed was the following:
- Chapter Updates were given by those chapters in attendance to inform the status of their respective
chapters and recent events that have occurred.
- An update was given by Iota Lambda regarding the 2004 Sectionals status. A Sectional chair will be
elected soon and a decision on the theme will be reached soon.
- Options for a Sectional Service Project were discussed for the Fall semester. Ideas given were the
Mountain to Sea Trail and the Memory Walk. The target date for this is National Service Week (Nov 3-9) to
encourage better reporting.
- Dates for the next Section Council Meeting were discussed. The weekend of Sept 13 as well as Saturdays
were ruled out. It will be selected from the remaining Sundays in September.
- Summer activities were discussed including fellowship and service. Iota Lambda will send out info on their
summer picnic later. Summer listserv may be created.
- Issues in finding advisors were discussed and helpful info given to those chapters in need of it
